Thanks for poppin' by! Let me tell you more about myself...
Hi there, it's me Kaylene!
I am a performer and artist from Braintree, MA. After presenting several recitals in my princess nightgown and mother's high heels at the age of two, it was evident that I was destined for the stage. At three, I began dancing at the Braintree Ballet Company in my hometown. I definitely credit my first dance teacher, Melissa Kelley Clark, for igniting my passion for performance.
I followed my bliss all the way to Oklahoma City, where I received my Bachelors of Science in dance and arts management from Oklahoma City University. While at OCU, I performed extensively with the American Spirit Dance Company, served as the student director of the Spirit of Grace Liturgical company, and took on many management duties including assisting Jo Rowan (department chair and company director) and Steve Estes (technical director). It was at OCU that I fell in love with the management side of the arts, gaining competencies in management, touring, development and fundraising, dance captaining, and more!
Some of my favorite credits include Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Cassie (A Chorus Line), Brooke Wyndham (Legally Blonde), Allana (The Little Mermaid), Mona (Chicago), Vibrata (A Funny Thing Happened...Forum), Rock of Ages, Mamma Mia! and Hello, Dolly! starring Dee Hoty.
Aside from performing, I am a coffee addict and poetry enthusiast. I am a sucker for a good memoir, and can usually be found with the love of my life trying new restaurants and bars. I love creating new things and soaking in the beauty of this world.
